North Korea, South Korea. We’ve all heard of the two Koreas and their eternal struggle. Far lesser known is the Third Korea, where millions of people still speak Korean and maintain Korean customs. Where is the 3rd Korea, you might ask? In China.

There you will find a region known as the Korean Autonomous Zone, right on the border with North Korea. And the most important "Korean" site of all - Mt. Paektu or Changbaishan - is shared between the two countries.
