What happens when you get picked up on the side of the road by a Syrian refugee in Kurdistan? Lets find out.

Refugees fled from Syria to Kurdistan due to the Syrian Civil War, which began in 2011. The war caused widespread violence, destruction, and persecution, especially targeting ethnic and religious minorities, including Kurds. Many Syrian Kurds sought safety in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI), which offered relative stability, shared ethnic ties, and autonomous governance. Additionally, the KRI provided humanitarian support and shelter, making it a safer haven compared to other conflict-affected areas in the region.
