I'd been planning a trip to Pakistan for a while. I've always wanted to travel overland from there to my home in Vietnam. But just days before my arrival, fighting broke out. I decided to use this opportunity to get a glimpse beyond the headlines. To see what daily life in Northern Pakistan looks like during such a volatile time.
